What makes this area so special are the facts that the habitat is ideal for big whitetail bucks and rocky mountain elk, there is very little hunting pressure during the archery season (more on that in a minute), we can hunt late, (nearly until Christmas) and we can, and do, bait with alfalfa. Nowhere else in the country can a non-resident buy a combination Whitetail/Elk license over the counter and then bow hunt late over bait.
